- [ ] Record you and a partner discussing in English (for 10 minutes) how a teacherās failure to provide clear instructions to learners is a violation of one or more of Griceās maxims (p. 291). The recording can be audio only - no video.
- [ ] Record you and a partner discussing in English (for 10 minutes) any topic you choose. The recording can be audio only - no video. The partners between the two recordings may be the same or different. Partner work only, please⦠no trios, etc.
- [ ] Rename the audio using the following nomenclature: FirstName1_FirstName2_1 and FirstName1_FirstName2_2. The first recording refers to the conversation related to Grice“s maxims and teachers failing to give clear instructions and the second recording refers to the conversation where the topic is open.
- [ ] Upload your audios to Conversational Analysis in Teams (Week 12). Create a subfolder with both of your first names, and then two more subfolders called Audios and Transcriptions.
- [ ] Transcribe your audio to text using an app of your choice. Refer to Transcribing audio to text if you have questions about how to convert audio to text.
