1) Start with your research questions (RQs)

- Write 2-4 analysis-focused research questions: What patterns? How? Why? Under what conditions?
- Decide what counts as “evidence” for each RQ (talk, text, behavior, artifact)
- Identify the phenomenon: interaction, feedback, engagement, task performance, beliefs, identity, strategy use, etc.

2) Map your dataset (what you actually have)
- Recorded Interviews
- Recorded Classroom Observations
- Documents or Artifacts (Content/Document Analysis)
- Create a dataset table: source, date, participants, lesson/task, file link, notes
